Director of Music, Knox Presbyterian Church, Ottawa – Seeking a part-time Director of Music to enhance and uplift our worship experience and continue to build our music ministry. Knox is an active, historic downtown church with a growing congregation that is a mix of urban and suburban members and close connections to the surrounding community. Knox has a SATB choir with paid section leads, a well-maintained Casavant pipe organ and a grand piano. Choir rehearsals are currently held on Sunday morning before the service. We incorporate a variety of styles of music, including contemporary, into our worship while preserving our strength in traditional organ and choral music. The successful applicant will report to the Session through the Clerk and will meet regularly with the Minister. This part-time position requires a commitment of 10-15 hours a week, with compensation dependent upon the experience and expertise of the successful applicant as described in the RCCO guidelines.
