St. Philip’s Anglican Church in Vancouver is seeking a Director of Music to collaborate with the Rector and parish leadership in continuing and enhancing the value and impact of its music ministry in the congregation and beyond.
St. Philip’s is an inclusive, active and caring Christian home for people of all ages who seek to live lives deepened with faith. Our music ministry is intended to further these aims, both within the parish family and in the wider community around us.
The church is home to a three-manual Casavant pipe organ, which is in good playing condition; a comprehensive refurbishment project is planned. The choir currently has approximately a dozen volunteer members.
The successful candidate will serve as both organist and choir director. They will demonstrate willingness and ability to grow and broaden St. Philip’s music ministry, honour the Anglican tradition, and maintain a commitment to both excellence and inclusion.
This is a half-time (20 hours per week) position, remunerated according to RCCO salary guidelines, with the opportunity to participate in diocesan and national benefits and pension plans. The desired start date is Fall, 2026; this is negotiable.
The initial deadline for applications to be considered in the first round is April 30, 2026, although the position will remain open until filled.
Please contact musicdirector@stpdunbar.com to request a complete application package, including a full job description, mini-profile of the parish, and application requirements.
