We are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and extend our heartfelt condolences to His Majesty the King and the Royal Family. Queen Elizabeth II devoted her life to her country and to the Commonwealth and she will always be remembered for her inspiring leadership and grace and her unwavering devotion to her duties. The Royal Canadian College of Organists is especially grateful to Queen Elizabeth II for granting the use of the Royal prefix in 1959, in recognition of the College's 50th anniversary and of its significant contribution to the cultural life of Canada.
