Announcing the 2021 Summer Organ Academy! Featuring an innovative new
curriculum that will be delivered entirely virtually, the Academy offers
a wide range of learning opportunities in three programs of study. Access to a pipe organ is not required for any of the programs. Students can practice all assigned materials and complete their homework assignments using a digital organ, piano, or an electric keyboard. Participants will submit

Youth Organist For young organists ages 12-17 seeking knowledge and skill enrichment, masterclass opportunities, and activities including a virtual collaborative project.
| ARCCO Examination Preparation For the undergraduate or advanced high school organist seeking training geared towards the ARCCO exam, particularly keyboard skills and improvisation.
| Church Organist For the community organist seeking professional development. Aimed at the playing level of the Service Playing Examination.

All Academy participants are invited to attend Organ Festival Canada which will be presented online from August 9 -13, 2021. Academy participants enrolled in full-time secondary or post-secondary education programs are eligible for complimentary registration. All other participants are eligible for the reduced rate of $148.00.
Awarded annually, the Paul Grimwood Scholarship was established to honour and perpetuate the legacy of Paul Grimwood’s thirty-nine years as Organist and Choirmaster of Central Presbyterian Church, Hamilton, by nurturing the development of a student organist. An award of up to $500.00 will be granted annually for ten years, beginning in 2018, to a student enrolled in the Royal Canadian College of Organists’ Summer Organ Academy. The intention of the award is to offset costs incurred by the student to attend the Summer Organ Academy.
The scholarship will be awarded to a student organist who demonstrates proficiency in organ playing and a keen interest in further development as an organist. To qualify, the student must:

Tous les participants à l'académie estivale sont invités à assister au festival d'orgue du Canada qui s'ouvre à la fin de l'académie. Les participants suivant des cursus à plein temps au niveau secondaire et post-secondaire peuvent effectuer des inscriptions supplémentaires.
Attribuée chaque année, la bourse Paul Grimwood a été créée pour honorer et préserver le legs des trente-neuf années que Paul Grimwood en tant qu'organiste et maître de chœur de la Central Presbyterian Church de Hamilton, en promouvant le développement d'un élève organiste. Chaque année pour dix ans à partir de 2018, un montant pouvant s'élever à $500.00 sera octroyé à un élève inscrit à l'académie estivale du Collège royal canadien des organistes. L'objectif de la bourse est de couvrir les dépenses occasionnées par la participation de l'élève à l'académie estivale d'orgue.
La bourse sera accordée à un élève organiste montrant des aptitudes pour l'orgue et désirant continuer à se développer en tant qu'organiste. Pour être éligible, l'élève doit :
avoir 24 ans ou moins au 1er juillet de l'année d'obtention de la bourse
être membre du Collège royal canadien des organistes
participer à l'académie estivale d'orgue l'année d'obtention de la bourse
