Robert Dixon is active as an organist and choral conductor with experience on both sides of the Atlantic. Born in the UK, he held positions at Gloucester Cathedral, Jesus College Cambridge, and the City Church of Oxford, and he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists aged 19. Having moved to Toronto in 2018 and worked at several churches across the city, Robert currently directs the music at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, where he conducts the award-winning Gallery Choir and plays the renowned Healey Willan Memorial Organ. Robert has performed live on BBC Radio 4 and Switzerland’s Radio SRF 2 Kultur, and recorded three CDs with the choirs of Jesus College Cambridge on the Signum label. He combines his work at SMM with the role of Chief Development Officer for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and serves on the board of the Royal Canadian College of Organists. | In this section |
