The Anglican Church of St. Andrew Scarborough, ON seeks a creative and technically competent person to assume choral and organ music leadership in the church. The ideal candidate will welcome the challenge of inspiring new members while invigorating the music ministry of the church. The congregation is vibrant and growing. The sanctuary has a well maintained 1964 Wick’s organ. The choir (singing weekly) has SATB voices. It is estimated that this part-time position will demand approximately 10-12 hours per week. This will include rehearsal to be held on Thursday evening, Sunday morning rehearsal in preparation for one Sunday service, in addition to regular meetings with clergy leaders. The successful candidate will also be encouraged to liaise with the worship committee and representatives of the Parish Council.
There will be an annual performance evaluation that will include reviewing past achievements and exploring a vision for the future. Ten vacation days are provided annually (primarily two working days, four consecutive weeks in the summer months). Renumeration will be commensurate with experience and qualifications including those as described in the RCCO Salary Guidelines.
